An enormous part of Techo-Bloc’s success stems from our product innovation. We understand that manufacturing the best stone isn’t enough. To ensure continuous growth, our research and development group is constantly envisioning and creating new stones and new applications, all while pushing the industry forward along the way.

In a little more than ten years, Techo-Bloc has developed and patented more than a dozen products, technologies and machinery, including:

Patented: Creta, the world’s first tumbled interlocking retaining wall system.

1996
Patented: Mini-Creta, the world’s first all-in-one rustic retaining wall. The system includes corner units, boasts convex and concave curves, and can be built vertical or inclined. And it is all contained in one pallet.

1997
Patented: Allegro, the first paving stone with undulating edges to replicate ancient cobblestone.

1998
Belgik curbstone, the first manufactured replica of Belgian block.

1999
Elena, the first modular (various sizes) paving stone to be offered in one pallet.

2000
Neptune, a smooth-faced cap block with the Granitex finish used primarily for pool coping, treads, retaining wall caps, and even a decorative border as paving stones.

2001
Patented: Tumble Master, the radical new manufacturing method that gives our stones their aged appearance.

2002
Patented: Quarry Stone, the world’s first retaining wall stone with a hand-chiseled and handcrafted appearance.

2004
We built the most technologically advanced paving stone and retaining wall manufacturing plant in the industry in Pen Argyl, Pennsylvania.

2005
Santorini, the molded, interlocking paving stone with a rugged, high-relief surface that emulates the natural look of slate.

2006
This year, Techo-Bloc is proud to unveil four brand-new products. We are introducing two new slabs:
Ming is available in three different colors and a multitude of shapes, which creates the look of stepping-stones from an Oriental Garden.

Inca is an impressive patio and walkway slab, and comes in three different sizes and two natural colors.

This summer, we will be also introducing Mini-Creta Plus 3”-6”, a double-sided wall stone with an aged appearance that allows you to combine a variety of six different shapes and sizes. Mini-Creta Plus is perfect for building vertical, freestanding walls. This versatile retaining wall stone can be built with both inward and outward curves.

Finally, in our largest introduction ever, we present Monumental Blok, a breakthrough in retaining wall technology. Monumental Blok offers a sculpted, handcrafted appearance while making a bold, strong statement in any landscape. Thanks to Techo-Bloc’s special anchoring system, the stones are simply set into place with a backhoe or small dozer. Monumental Blok allows you to build walls up to twelve feet high without the use of geogrid. Roughly the same size as a dozen Mini-Creta, Monumental Blok provides you with significant savings on installation costs.
