Is Everest durable in winter conditions?

Yes, it is designed to withstand freeze-thaw cycles and exposure to de-icing salts when properly installed and maintained.

Does Everest need sealing?

Sealing is optional, but it can help maintain color richness and long-term surface protection.

How much maintenance does Everest require?

Routine cleaning with water and mild soap is typically sufficient. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive tools.

Can Everest be used for driveways?

Yes. Everest 250 x 250 can be used for driveways. The larger Everest formats are intended for pedestrian use only.

What base and bedding are recommended?

Use 4-8 in (100-200 mm) of compacted aggregate on sandy soils or 6-14 in (150-350 mm) on clay soils, with a 1 in (25 mm) bedding layer.

What surface slope is required?

A slope of approximately 3/16 in per ft is recommended for proper drainage.

What joint width and material should be used?

Use 1/16" (1.5 mm) joints and fill with polymeric sand. Do not butt-joint.

Can a plate compactor be used after installation?

Flat vibrating plate compactors are not recommended for slabs. Roller plate compactors may be used with caution, but any mechanical compaction carries a risk of cracking. See installation instructions here.

Can Everest be installed on pedestals or over concrete?

Yes. The 500 x 500 format can be installed on pedestal systems, and all formats can be installed over a properly prepared concrete base when required.
