The Industria collection was designed with the master mosaic maker in mind. This series is made up of 18 different compatible formats available in five standard colors and three textures (Smooth HD2, Polished HD2, or Granitex HD2). That’s a total of 270 different product variations that you can mix and match to create the exact look you imagined for your project. Sizes range from 150 x 150 mm (approx. 6” x 6”) to the massive 900 x 900 mm (roughly 36” x 36”) paver. Industria’s versatility isn't all about size — it’s also about shape. The Industria collection offers squares, rectangles, linear or “plank” pavers, and its latest addition: the Industria 300 x 300 mm triangle. All this variety means you have the freedom to create the custom pattern that best suits your project; Industria can be used to create grid, herringbone, linear, basketweave, checkered, and modular patterns. This interlocking paver’s Smooth HD2 texture is virtually poreless and will bring a refined and modern look to any commercial, institutional or industrial landscape project. Industria is also praised by architects for its slim joints that give it its signature, sleek and unified feel. Aesthetics, however, aren’t everything; durability is also key. The Industria collection was designed with the urban environment in mind and was made extra hardy to endure environmental abuse. This heavy-duty commercial paver is ADA and ASTM compliant, de-icing salt resistant, and vehicle-friendly. How do I clean the surface?

Rinse with water and a mild detergent, and lift spills before they sit. Techo-Bloc’s care and maintenance guidance covers the harder cases, such as oil, rust and efflorescence.

Does it need to be sealed?

Sealing is optional rather than required [to validate]. A penetrating sealer makes spills easier to lift and deepens the color; the cleaners and sealants range is formulated for Techo-Bloc surfaces.

Will a dark color get hot in the sun?

Yes. Dark paving units can get very hot in direct sun, which matters anywhere people walk barefoot. If the deck around your pool sees a lot of bare feet, a lighter color is the more comfortable choice.

Can I combine several formats in one project?

Yes, and that is the point of the collection. Several of the pattern options mix two sizes in one field, and your installer works out how much of each format the chosen pattern needs.

How long will it last, and what is covered?

Concrete paving of this type is a long-lived surface that can be lifted and reset if a section is ever disturbed. Coverage is set out in Techo-Bloc’s transferable lifetime warranty, which you should read for the terms that apply to your project [to validate].

Do I need a professional to install it?

The larger units are heavy, and the finished look depends on a properly prepared base, so this is usually work to hire out. A certified contractor can price the installed project.

What goes under it?

Build the standard segmental pavement assembly for the traffic the surface will carry: compacted granular base, then a bedding layer, with the depth set by the application and the subgrade. The installation guides give the base build-ups for pedestrian and residential vehicle work.

Does the 900 series need anything different under a drive?

OpenClose

Yes. For vehicular use, the 900 x 300, 900 x 600 and 900 x 900 units are recommended to be installed on a concrete base designed by a local engineer. Confirm the assembly in the technical resources before you price the job.

What joint material should I use?

Use a polymeric sand rated for narrow joints. The units carry a cast-in joint spacer, so the joint is dimensioned for you and does not need to be gauged on site.

How heavy are the units?

They run from about 11 lb for the 150 x 150 to about 402 lb for the 900 x 900. Anything in the 600 and 900 series is a mechanical-handling item, not a two-hand lift.

How much comes on a pallet?

It varies by format, from 294 units of the 150 x 150 down to 7 units of the 900 x 900. Every format ships 7 rows to a pallet, with pallet weights running from roughly 2,112 lb to 3,839 lb.

What dimensional tolerances should I expect?

Length and width hold to ± 0.063 in (1.6 mm) on the 150 through 300 formats, and to -0.04 and +0.08 in (-1.0 and +2.0 mm) on the 450 and larger. Sand-set height tolerance is ± 0.125 in.

Can it be laid on a bituminous sand set?

Yes, that method is listed for the collection. It requires the unit thickness tolerance to be held to ± 1/16 in (1.6 mm), so confirm the lot before you commit to the method.

Anything to watch with the triangle unit?

Its geometry makes alignment unforgiving across a large field. Set a careful start line and check strings often; a clean setup is most of the finished result.

A full range of scales

Sixteen square and elongated formats range from 150 × 150 mm to 900 × 900 mm, all in a consistent 100 mm thickness. From a small cobble-scale unit to a slab-scale square, you can change the scale of the surface without changing the product.

An HD² smooth surface

The HD² Smooth finish gives a fine, even face with crisp edges, the look that suits an ultra-modern, architectural plan. It is a factory finish, not a coating applied on site.

Ready for residential driveways

The collection is rated for residential vehicle use as well as foot traffic, and it is built to take northern freeze-thaw cycles. The same paver can run under the car and across the patio.

What can you build with Industria Smooth pavers?

Driveways

A driveway is the first surface anyone sees, and this one does not have to look like a parking spot. Run the long formats in a linear layout for a quiet, uninterrupted approach, or drop in a smaller format at the apron and along the edges to draw a border that ties the drive to the house.

Patios

On a patio the large squares do the most work: fewer joints, longer sight lines, and a floor that feels continuous under a table and chairs. Mix in a narrower format if you want the surface to read as a composition rather than a grid.

Pool decks

Around water the appeal is a flat, even face with tight joints, comfortable to walk on and easy to rinse down at the end of the day. Lighter colors stay more comfortable underfoot in full sun, which matters where people walk barefoot.

Walkways

Narrow formats let a path stay slim without looking chopped up, and the modular sizes make it easy to widen a walk into a landing at a door or a gate. The surface keeps its footing when wet as well.
