Wildwood Transformation
Minimalism, Defined by Subtle Contrast
European Cool Meets Modern Luxury
The design of this property takes its cues from European villas where calm lines, soft palettes and symmetrical forms create an effortless sense of refinement. Imagine Design & Build brought that influence to Dearborn by keeping the architecture clean and the overall composition intentionally minimal. The result is a setting that feels cool, balanced and elevated, with a modern luxury edge that carries through the entire landscape.
The Story Behind the Transformation
This project began with a clear goal: to turn a large property into an outdoor environment that could support different moments throughout the day. Instead of designing around a single attraction, Imagine Design & Build crafted a complete outdoor estate where every zone has purpose. The pool house, kitchen and fireplace anchor the entertainment core, while the putting green and basketball court add energy to the property’s edges.
Lush Italian-courtyard-style greenery, river rock accents and subtle uplighting tie the spaces together, creating a warm, lived-in atmosphere that transitions easily from quiet mornings to lively evenings. Even details like the rain shower over the pool echo the project’s emphasis on comfort and intention. The result is a space built for hosting, but only for those welcomed into it.
Balancing Flow, Comfort & Architecture
Movement through the property follows a clear architectural rhythm. The Terrazzo steps lead to the home’s entrance, framed by elegant arches that set a distinctly European tone and establish the material language for the rest of the design. Garden walkways branch out from the stairs, guiding guests toward the backyard along symmetrical, thoughtfully planted paths. The yard opens into a generous pool area laid in Terrazzo slabs, creating a bright, continuous surface that reflects both sunlight and landscape lighting. Nearby, a secondary lounge finished with Terrazzo slabs in a herringbone layout introduces a more intimate moment within the larger setting. The outdoor kitchen sits in its own defined zone finished in Mika, a darker paving surface that anchors the cooking area and distinguishes it from the surrounding spaces. The same Mika detailing carries through to the fireplace zone, tying the functional areas together without interrupting the visual flow.
Products that Brought the Vision to Life
Terrazzo Mineral White sets the project’s refined, European character. The 600×600 slabs form the bright, continuous surfaces around the pool, while the 600×150 slabs introduce pattern and dimension in the lounge through a herringbone layout. Mika in Onyx Black defines the outdoor kitchen and fireplace zones with a grounded architectural presence, chosen for its durability, stain resistance and ability to stay visually consistent in shaded conditions. Together, the combination creates a cohesive palette that supports both the open, sunlit areas and the more intimate moments woven throughout the property.
